The information will be used in a number of ways:
- It will improve patient safety by enabling potentially affected patients to be contacted quicker and more accurately in the event of recalls.
- It will reduce administrative work to allow more time for clinical work and patient care.
- It will support the better allocation of resources, costs and clinical productivity across NHS Scotland helping more patients to get treatment faster.
- It will be used to monitor clinical outcomes and provide information to facilitate better outcomes in the future.
